MMW Printworks Interior
Working closely with Millar McCall Wylie’s client team we quickly established that the move to The Printworks and the opportunity it provided to design a completely new workspace was a ‘coming of age project’ for the firm.
The intent with our Interior design scheme was to give the space grown up style, whilst injecting an expressive, youthful nod to reflect the forward thinking nature of the firm. Both the reception and client waiting areas use muted tonal furnishings that both soften and compliment the beautiful red brick, historic wooden floors and steel beams that characterise the interior. We designed large and small scale planters filled with greenery to bring a sense of calm and well being to the work spaces.
The kitchen area is unapologetic with its single wash of vibrant cherry-red, intended to be energising. It’s complimented by a 3 metre reclaimed wood table for casual eating and socialising. As part of the overall scheme we designed bespoke furniture with Millar McCall Wylie’s staff needs front of mind. This included a personalised metal and oak reception desk, a six metre boardroom table, credenzas and double work pods.
Colour co-ordinated signage and artworks reflect the building’s industrial heritage.
