Salisbury Cathedral – Magna Carta Exhibition
We undertook the re-design of this exhibition situated in the Chapter House, home to the best preserved of only four surviving Magna Carta documents from 1215. The exhibition utilised existing elements and repositioned the setworks in a way that was more sensitive to the geometry of the Chapter House. The colour of graphics and plinths was carefully selected to compliment the stonework and the floor tiles. A series of line drawings depicted key moments in the story, which was re-oriented to follow clauses picked out from a transcript of the document. We made angled, powder coated metal brackets, that supported new Chapter House interpretation so that it could sit securely next to the wall without actually touching it.
